Japanese denim maker BOBSON opens its first ever retail outlet in the Philippines today at the 1st Level, West Concourse, Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro City.
Founded by Toshiharu Ozaki in Japan’s denim capital Okayama prefecture, BOBSON brings with it 54 years of solid denim heritage that gives it the edge in creating jeans of superior craftsmanship tuned to the vagaries of today’s fashion market.
Today, the brand continues its legacy of finely-crafted jeans as it expands its market in the Philippines with its first-ever BOBSON Botique in the Philippines.
“BOBSON is here to redefine the jeans scene in the Philippines. The brand aims to stand for comfort, style, and quality that is rooted in superior Japanese craftsmanship. We are excited to bring these impeccably-made jeans to the market with the arrival of BOBSON from Japan,” said BOBSON brand director Chris Magnaye.
Magnaye said every piece from BOBSON’s collection is made with great attention to detail and commitment to quality inherent in its Japanese heritage of fine craftsmanship as demonstrated in indigenous Japanese crafts like ikebana and origami.
Over centuries, Japanese craftsmanship has gained worldwide recognition for its superior and premium finishing. The new BOBSON is no different — the fine quality of our apparels is a true testament to the authentic, Japanese construction methods of the original Okayama-based company founded in 1969. With a unique left-hand twill weaving technique, BOBSON jeans are noticeably more comfortable and durable.
“We give denim lovers art pieces that make them look effortlessly fashionable,” Magnaye said.
“BOBSON goes beyond face value, because a feel of the fabric and minute examination of its construction reveals the fine craftsmanship built into each pair of jeans—this is the BOBSON Denim DNA.”
Key elements of the BOBSON Denim include the left hand twill, a softer way of weave that makes every pair feel like second skin; stitch belt loops for stronger construction; and pewter rivet buttons that will outlast your jeans. BOBSON is also made with 11 stitches per inch (SPI) to achieve that coveted refined look, and finished off with the crest-shaped back pocket design to mark its Japanese heritage.
With a red dot logo that aptly reflects its roots—the land of the rising sun—BOBSON envisions itself to be the denim of choice for the stylish set who never compromise quality.
“The BOBSON wearer is the polished man or woman who wants staple pieces that are clean, fresh, and simple, but always relevant. And with a look that is stylish and streamlined, the brand is definitely set to be every Filipino’s denim companion throughout the fashion seasons,” Magnaye said. (The Night Stalker)
