There are a lot of good things to start this Festival Month of August at Cagayan de Oro’s acknowledged Lifestyle Hotel, Seda Centrio.
They have a new Executive Sous Chef, a new Food & Beverage Manager, and, are launching the Sunday Brunch Buffet and “Drink-of-the-Month” at Misto Restaurant starting August 9th.

“We will present an international mix combined with locally-produced foods on the Sunday Brunch Buffet, available from 11 am to 2 pm,” said Chef Jade Burden.
Thus, the sumptuous spread will showcase no less than eight different stations to give both foreign guests and local residents a wide variety of dishes with universal appeal.

For instance, the salad station features lettuce varieties with complementing dressings and various toppings and sides, plus a healthy range of market-fresh vegetables.
“We want to offer a quality spread of excellent selections,” explains Mike Gayoso, F&B manager.
Ergo, the bread station, for instance, features baguettes, focaccia, white bread, whole wheat bread with pastrami, honey-cured ham and cheddar, camembert or herb cheese in olive oil.

Entrees include chicken cacciatore, roasted pork loin with pineapple cinnamon sweet potato and beef rendang with braised garlic and shallots.
And on top of all that, the Sunday buffet features carving stations that include everyone’s favorite “lechon”! Gayoso says that some dishes will change every week for variety but the price is pegged at a very reasonable PhP599 per person.
August 9th will also mark the launch of Seda Centrio’s Drink of the Month featuring “Seda Colada”, a coconut based, refreshing drink with a Bacardi base that’s also available as an alcohol-free “mocktail”, for only PhP399. As a bonus, the featured drinks come with a free cuddly stuffed toy poodle (“Koko”). It is available the whole day in Misto for the entire month of August.
