“We also assisted 143 micro, small and medium enterprises in the province through access to trade fairs, pasalubong centers and negosyo center exhibits,” Dir. Abang disclosed on the sidelines of the briefing attended my local and regional media. “One of Bukidnon’s Product booths also won the Best Design Award during the 2015 Kahimunan Trade Fair held at SM City in Cagayan de Oro.”
Besides access to their individual markets, DTI Bukidnon also extended assistance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through access to finance and resource generation, productivity and efficiency, business enabling environment, consumer welfare and protection and good governance.
Notable among their accomplishments in these specific sectors were the PhP 8.657-M extended to 8 MSME beneficiaries in coordination with DOST through its Set Up Adoptor program under finance and resource generation; PhP15.31-M assistance extended to 27 SSF projects to improve their productivity and efficiency; technical assistance in the preparation of the Valencia City Investments and Incentives Code under Business Enabling Environment; three (3) Bagwis bronze awardees during Consumer Month Celebration last November2015 and attaining a 100% Customer Satisfaction Rating with 95% Customer Satisfaction Feedback (CSF) Retrieval Rate.
“For 2016, DTI Bukidnon will focus on opening more negosyo centers in the province, coordinate with more LGUs to enhance the overall competitiveness of municipalities and cities of Bukidnon, and promote inclusive growth models to promote MSMEs,” Dir. Abang said.
