“We salute the Ororama Superstore chain for this milestone,” said Moreno in his brief talk just outside the new facade where the opening program was held. “Ororama is one of our local brands we are truly proud off and we salute Mr.  & Mrs. See Hong for their achievement which is now being carried on by the next generation through Erwin and Genevieve.”

Besides boasting of new basement parking along the Vamenta Boulevard entrance, it also features an escalator to the 2nd story where its Department Store is located.

In an earlier interview, Erwin Bryan O. See, vice president, disclosed the basement parking will be expanded to accommodate 80 cars once the former store facing Carmen Market is renovated.

The former Carmen branch with entrance facing the Carmen Market which was opened during the early 1980s will be renovated and modernized.

Opened as a small grocery store in Cogon Market along Osmeña St in 1967 by its founders Hong C. See and Gloria O. See, the 49-year brand is still going strong despite some setbacks and now has its main branch along Mortola-JR Borja St. and other affiliate firms like Megafarms and Market City in Agora East Bound Bus Terminal in Lapasan.

According to Erwin See, the next stage in the development of the store chain is the construction of a new annex along Mortola Street which will serve to make its flagship Mortola Street Supercenter one of the biggest in the city.
