Pamahaw Espesyal, Cagayan de Oro’s and Northern Mindanao’s premiere early morning show, celebrated its 8th Anniversary with a Free Movie Screening for orphans at Centrio Mall Cinema 1 last Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
Some 80 orphans from various orphanages from the city and their 20 chaperones were treated to a free screening of “The Jungle Book”, according to ABS-CBN Northern Mindanao Marketing Officer Lynneth Auriece “Chikay” Dumpa.

“This is a joint corporate social responsibility project of ABS-CBN with Centrio Cinemas and Centrio Mall,” said Donna G. Ocampo, ABS-CBN Northern Mindanao Area Manager. “It’s our way of giving back to our viewers for making Pamahaw Espesyal the premier early morning show in Northern Mindanao these past eight years.”
Not to forget the thousands of “PE” faithful from Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and Dipolog and across Western, Northern Mindanao and Caraga regions, they were also given the chance to win free tickets to the same movie by competing in a “Pet Photo Contest”.

Besides the free screening, the guests were also treated to free popcorn and drinks from Centrio’s The Movie Snack Bar, Brownie Bites and prizes from Bite Me Up, and animal-themed Cookies and Cupcakes from Monster Kitchen Academy.
“We are supporting our Media Partner ABS-CBN by sharing our Brownie Bites from Bite Me Up, Cookies and Cupcakes from Monster Kitchen Academy,” said Maggie J. Uy of Bite Me Up.
“By introducing Brownie Bites during this occasion, we also hope more people will get to know our Dark and Fudgy Brownie Bites which we are positioning as a healthy pasalubong and snack item for Cagayan de Oro,” said Jan Uy, president of Bite Me Up Food Corp.
Also present during the distribution of goodies to the orphans and their chaperons was Nicole Abas Datayan, official endorser of Bite Me Up Brownie Bites, and her PE co-hosts Jam, Sheila Joy Labrador, Grey Mendoza and Bernie Bitok-Bitok.
The children also got to meet Monster Kitchen mascot “M” much to their delight.
