Not one. But two suprise parties in a night for Cagayan de Oro’s certified Queen Maker Mary Gean Tulang-Cesar last Tuesday, February 16, 2016 a couple of days before her natal day on the 18th.
A Surprise Party at Mesa by former colleagues at ABS-CBN Northern Mindanao for CDO’s Queenmaker
The first one at Mesa Filipino Moderne Restaurant at Centrio Mall was primarly organized by Gean’s former colleagues from ABS-CBN Northern Mindanao in coordination with Mesa owner Mags Cue. Among them current ABS-CBN Northern Mindanao Area Manager Donna Ocampo, ABS-CBN Iligan, Dipolog and Butuan Manager May Lynn Cainhog and former ABS employees Marebec Cagalawan, Troy Amplayo, Bambi Barolome and moi. Also caught in the conspiracy was Gean’s constant buddy JCI Sen. Gigi Go.

After an evening of pigging out and hilarious opening of gifts, I stealthily brought the celebrant (don’t ask how!) to Illest where the second surprise party of the night was awaiting with the Mags Family and friends. Organized with clockwork efficiency by Mags Cue and her staff: Vash Babia (Operations Manager for VisMin), Mark Edison Pagaspas (Marketing Officer), Hazel Mari Go (Area Manager for CDO) and Sydney Streegan (Mgt Trainee), it was another hilarious and fun filled evening as DJs DJ Justin Un and Red Maningo keep Ileste rocking all night long.

Also present to greet the celebrant were friends Phillip Vallespin, Mark Yaranon, John Mark Magallanes, Elton Batinga, Robbie Pamisa, Leigh Rioux, Shine Casiño, Joshua Yu and reigning Miss Cagayan de Oro Charrina Barro.
