It was nice of Seda Centrio to invite us for its Christmas Tree Lighting program last Friday, 18 November at their hotel lobby.
ABS-CBN Pamahaw Espesyal Host Nicole Abas-Datayan was our master of ceremonies for the evening hosted by Seda Centrio Hotel Manager Armand Angeles, Chef Malek El Safidi, and Carol Valdez with the special participation of the Corpus Christi School Choir, which is really a nice touch, with the Christmas carols bringing back memories of Happy Yuletides past.
I came with CDO Bloggers Ruby, Jacq, Em, Phebie and Tom Udasco of CDODev.Com. I saw Tourism RD Butch Chan, Ms. Cagayan de Oro Sherlyn Doloriel and Ms. CDO Organizer Gean Tulang-Cesar, COTTA President Jules Baril with his officers, and of course, one of the early birds, Ms. Cathy “Caday” Tan, who is Iligan City’s Perennial Ms. Tourism. Happy to see you again!
Chef Malek prepared a fantastic spread of gourmet delights which he said would bring us all over the world. There were four salads to get this going: Waldorf Salad, Thai Beef Salad, Tabouleh and Baba Ghanouge. For the main course we enjoyed Saj rolls, Shrimp Curry, Potato Croquette, Bacon Wrap and Roast Pork Liempo, which is unlike any liempo I’ve tasted and is deliriously delicious! Daghang salamat Chef!
After some entertainment and the grand food sampling, we were off to the Misto Lounge which was cleared for the occasion. Manager Armand, RD Butch and Sherlyn Doloriel did the honors of lighting up the Christmas Tree after which the CCS Choir regaled us with their Christmas carols.
Incidentally, the inspired Christmas decors were done by Seda Centrio’s Housekeeping Department. Fantastic job guys!
Altogether a very enjoyable evening with good friends, great food and the Yuletide ambience that one can only find in Seda Centrio. Thank you friends, let’s do that again next Christmas!
Malipayong Pasko sa tanan!
